Castlewood Canyon State Park encompasses 2,303 acres, offering hiking, picnicking, rock climbing, sightseeing, Photography and nature study. Castlewood Canyon preserves a great ecologically area Black Forest region of Colorado.
West Side Trail along of Cherry Creek, goes past the ruins of Castlewood Dam. The dam broke in August 3, 1933 creating the second worst flood in Denver’s history.
