Buena Vista, Scenic Drive to Taylor Reservoir

Buena Vista to Taylor reservoir is a beautiful thirty seven mile drive one way up over Cottonwood Pass, on state hwy 306.  On this trip it was a beautiful October day with fall colors peaking on both sides of the pass as well as several Mule Deer watching us pass.

On the west side the drive is gravel, but I understand in the summer of 2017 they are going to pave it, which in my opinion is a bad idea.

This a great way to go to Crested Butte or Gunnison is late Spring through late fall.
Enjoy the Drive.
