Z30 Nikon is not a Vlogging Camera
Z30 Nikon is not a vlogging camera, ad from Nikons Website is not truthful
I will start out, I have been around cameras and photography all my life since my first Brownie Box Camera in sixth grade. I have even worked in studio’s shooting products and used Nikon’s most of those years. I am completely disappointed in the Z30 Nikon.
List of reasons, on Page 593 in the manual it states that in 4k it overheats and shuts off in 30 minutes. My experience is completely different. Shooting 1080 x 1920, 120 frames per second the camera overheats and shuts off at eleven minutes. Shooting at 1080 x 1920, 60 frames per second the camera overheats and shuts off at just under 18 minutes. ( all of the videos have been shot indoors. shooting a presentation that was supposed to be live and a suppose to be live session with a band)
Z30 Nikon is Not A Vlogging camera, ad from Nikon’s Website is not truthful
Nikon Z30 was purchased for live streaming. Nikon advertises this camera was created for this. If it was, then its a very poor design and the engineers ought to be fired!
The other issue is Nikon’s support treats you like you are an idiot.
Z30 Nikon is not a Vlogging Camera by any stretch of the imagination. Well maybe that’s not completely true. I would be a great one if it didn’t overheat and turn off. The features it offers are great. The light meter and tracking are spot on.
I will have to says it’s a great photo camera, not a Vlogging Camera!
The Z30 Nikon ought to be recalled and replaced with a camera that works.
Well Day Two of the Nikon Saga:
Last night one of the employees of the camera store where the Z30 Nikon was purchased, purchase one and we when out shooting video. Keep in mind they talked with Nikon to make sure all the settings were within Nikon’s parameter’s. They experience the same results as I have encountered.
We are all starting to come to the conclusion that Nikon’s reviews about the camera on their website are fake or paid for! There is a serious problem with this camera and Nikon needs to address it. So far they are not acknowledging it and feeding us all a line of BS.
Day Three of the Nikon Saga
Today I am on my way to the camera store. The camera store is sending my Z30 Nikon back to Nikon for an exchange. What Nikon doesn’t under stand they have cost me money and time. Which they good give a rats ass about. They only think of themselves with very poor customer service. On the other hand the camera store would do an exchange, but they don’t have a Z30 in stock that works correctly. Even the camera store employee I am dealing with is going through a hard time with Nikon Support. Their Z30 Nikon is overheating just like mine and Nikon is making them go through the warranty program since they have had their Z30 Nikon for more than a month. Nikon has a problem and doesn’t seem willing to admit it or fix it. We will see how it goes, more to come.
Interesting after returning from the camera shop a few minutes ago and going through the corresponds between them and Nikon. Nikon has the attitude that as a consumer we ought to feel privileged to have the opportunity to use their product. So it is clear Nikon cares very little for the end user and only about themselves. We’ll see what happens come Tuesday, I maybe switching brands for the first time in twenty years, I have always been a firm supporter of Nikon till now.
