Bear Lake Trail to Emerald Lake, Video Trail of Trail Episode One Rocky Mountain Park
Along with Bear Lake Trail and its nature trail in RMNP you have access to trails that lead to Nymph, Dream, and Emerald Lakes. It was a beautiful Rocky Mountain cloudy day in the park. We left Bear Lake on our snowshoes, snow was around four feet deep, wearing my fishing hoodie Mayfly Snack perfect for this hike in the Bear Lake area a very popular part of Rocky Mountain National Park. All ways arrive early, in order to get parking, in the Spring, Summer and Fall you can ride the shuttle which a fun experience. There was a steady stream of people having fun and enjoying the snow as well as one group of adventure minded young ladies that exposed themselves to nature. Emerald Lake is a very beautiful destination any time of the year.
For a half-loop (3.5 miles roundtrip), taking the hike to Emerald Lake. Beginning from the Bear Lake Trailhead, it is a given that all hikers will stop at Bear Lake to check out the beautiful scenery on this short loop hike before heading out to Emerald Lake.
